This is my first attempt at filming surfing with my Canon 7D camera. Joel and I shot a lot together and this morning, I thought it would be cool to video a few waves...Check it out!
Good one, esp with the song it just makes u wanna grad a board and head out to the beach. Great work, I've been following the blog for a while now and I really like what I see.
I love how the 7D works in video mode, but not to so happy making photos with the tele. The autofocus seems to be so sensitive to vibrations... Even I find differences using tripod and monopod.
Thanks for following the blog Kati and Jair! love the comments.
Pacotwo-I used the Canon 7D with a 1.4 extender and the 70-200mm 2.8 non IS lens. The focus was set to manual; however the tripod head I was using is not ideal for shooting video. it is more of a photo studio head, rather than a fluidhead which is what most filmers use. I have seen some great footage with these cameras, but for action a smoother turning head would prevent the vibrations and shake issue.
