my favorite little people who aren't so little anymore
While going to school in Santa Barbara I was introduced to two micro groms who have later turned into good friends of mine. Them along with there parents were kind enough to allow me and my friend Johnny come hang out and surf for a swell around there neck of the woods. We were on a mission to find some fun waves with not a lot of people. Sure enough SB pulled through with the fun waves, but than again, we weren't the only people knowing that there were waves so there was a crowd, but we had fun anyways. Here's a couple snapshots of the brothers inbetween sessions. Watchout for these two in the future, they are already dominating the contest scene, getting tubed worldwide and they're not afraid of your sister either!

new tearsheets
My recent trip to Europe with Julian Wilson, Dion Agius, and Dane Reynolds came out in Surfer Magazines 50th Anniversary issue. January 2010. They gave us 4 spreads including copy by Kimball Taylor which talks about the progression of surfing. A full page shot of Julian was also used on the contents page from a trip we did earlier in the year to Central America.
Also...Here's a few tears from the Joel Tudor guest editor issue..November 2009

Patagonia used two of my photos of Rusty Long in there online and print catalogue for there Fall 2009 Surf Catalogue. One on the cover and one on the inside...stoked! I owe a big thank you to the team at Patagonia for choosing my image in addition to Jeff and Bowen at Aframe photo for making it happen.

with darkness comes light.
the last week has been crazy. spent the better part of last week in a dark dark room in Santa Barbara printing photos.
Caught up with a couple friends, jammed down to San Diego and took off the following day on a last minute strike up to Mavericks...22 feet at 20 seconds, I had to see it for myself.
The wind was a bit funky but the boys still managed to pack a few and all come in, in one piece.
After the morning session at mavs, we raced back down the coast straight into a full day of surf yesterday and today.
I'm tired.
